What are Participatory Processes?
The Participatory Processes are a series of meetings whose objective is to promote the debate and discussion of ideas between citizens, or between them and the heads of the most varied entities, in a transparent way and where everyone can participate.
Participatory Processes can promote different activities such as: questionnaires, virtual or face-to-face debates and even submit proposals for solving municipal problems.
Examples: How to renovate a street or square; survey problems in a given location; debate concrete ideas on how public policies can be better developed; diagnose a specific situation and look for creative ideas for its resolution.
Who can promote them:
- All citizens, through citizen initiatives;
- The Municipality;
- Different entities of the city (Health, Education, Environment, Culture, etc.);
Main phases of a Participatory Process:
1. Presentation
2. Diagnosis
3. Discussion of ideas and results
4. Evaluation and monitoring of results
